Are you between 12-16 years old and interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons and other role playing games? We’re excited to partner with the Chestnut Hill Library on a creative role playing games workshop. The workshop will be lead by Sara Sciacchitano, aka “Darth Sara.” Sara is a working artist who creates fantastical characters and worlds through her business Cloudless. She also has led dozens of workshops for youth and adults on Dungeons & Dragons and other role playing games.
You can participate in one, two or all three of the workshops. Each is a stand alone experience! To RSVP please click here. Please note that space is limited; if your plans change and you are no longer able to attend please let us know so we can open up your spot for someone else.
WORKSHOP #2 (OCTOBER 8, 2024)
Participants will embark on a journey to the enchanting Neverlight Village, where they will engage in a series of creative quests designed to ignite their imagination and storytelling skills.
Quest 1: Mapmaker’s Guild
Participants will learn the basics of dungeon design, including layout, theme, and challenge creation. They'll design their own mini-dungeons, considering elements like traps, puzzles, and treasure.
Quest 2: Creature Creation Workshop
Participants will use their imagination to create original creatures and NPCs (non-player characters) that inhabit their dungeons. They'll develop backstories and motivations, bringing their creations to life.
